1. Keeping the Menu Active During Shooting

The E990 can be set up in many different modes of operation to suit the various requirements of photographic assignments. These selections are made through the Menu system which allows convenient access to such options as white balance, single/continuous/rapid shutter release and metering method.

The Menu becomes visible on the Monitor when the menu button is pressed. A second press shows the second page of Menu items and a third press turns the Menu off. However, if you press the shutter button whilst the Menu is still displayed, the Menu will disappear and then reappear whe the button is released, or after a picture is taken. This is designed to allow rapid access to Menu options whilst shooting, without having to repeatedly press the Menu button.

Note that the Auto power off timer is disabled when the menu is visible.
