17 Copying files from the camera to the computer.

The Nikon View Windows software allows the normal Copy/Paste operation for transferring camera files from the serial-connected camera to your computer.

However,  when an image in the camera is selected for copying, it is not placed in the system clipboard (RAM) but is copied to a folder on your hard disk called \Windows\Temp\Camexp\Transfer.

From time to time, you might like to delete the images in this folder to free up space on your hard disk.

Note that if the image that is being copied  has the same name as an image which is already in the \Windows\Temp\Camexp\Transfer folder, then the new image filename will have a number (1), (2) etc added to it.
