The following update has been produced for the Coolpix 2500 to provide the camera with EXIF 2.2 compatibility and an update for PTP functionality.

Benefits of firmware version 1.1 include;
When images are opened in Windows XP the Shooting Data is no longer lost after images are rotated.
The transfer button on the camera can now be used when the transfer protocol is set to PTP when using Windows XP or Mac OSX (version 10.1.3 or later) with Nikon View 5.1 or later.
Nikon View 5.1.1 is available for download.
