The experienced E-2 user will know that the main power
drain on the camera comes from the use of the motorised focus. Using the camera at a fixed
focus, for example when shooting the same scene with different subject matter e.g. table
top pack shots , can save power by preventing the focus servo from hunting as the subject
is changed.
Another major power drain occurs when sending a video
output from the camera (playback in the E-2/E-2s or preview and playback on the
E-2N/E-2Ns). It is recommended to use the AC power supply if possible when requiring video
output from the camera.
