General Advice For Customers in the UK and Eire only

Packing and Despatch
Goods should be well packed with particular attention payed to corner packing on larger or heavier products, use the original sales box if possible. Always attach a covering note with the item(s) for repair with product, serial number, fault description, your address, phone number and fax number. Please always make a note of your product serial number as a reference before returning goods.
We recommend returning all items via a reputable courier company

Receipt of goods
When products are received they will be checked and booked-in to the service system. You will be posted a service acknowledgement which lists the items received with serial numbers and a service job reference number.

Warranty repairs
All Electronic Imaging products come with a 12 month warranty and must be returned to the address above marked for the attention of the Electronic Imaging Service Department. All products returned for repair under warranty must have a proof of warranty attachedThis can either be in the form of a sales invoice or a completed Nikon warranty card which . is enclosed in the sales box. The turnaround time is dependant on product type and work back-log. The workshop turnaround time is 3-4 weeks on most products.

Service Estimates
Any repairs returned out of the warranty period will be invoiced on a chargeable basis only. Goods returned for warranty repair which do not meet the conditions of warranty will be estimated. Nikon shall be under no obligation to issue an estimate before commencing repair unless the customer gives a written request for an estimate. Estimates will be faxed when possible or posted, when we have your approval to proceed with repair the current workshop turnaround time is less than 5 days on most products.

Spare Parts
Nikon UK Electronic Imaging Division only supply spare parts to authorised repair centres.

Communication
If the technician working on your product is unable to see or reproduce the fault you have described he may wish to contact you direct. It is always appreciated if you attach as much information about the fault as possible together with your fax and phone numbers.
